Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Klaara is building a movement for businesses that want to stay independent. We keep what we collect about you to a minimum, and we are clear about why. This policy explains what information we gather, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This site is operated by Klaara Pte. Ltd. (“Klaara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company based in Singapore. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach us at support@klaara.ai.
Information we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to give us. Today that means the details you submit through our Founding 50 application form:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your company name
- Your role
- Your company size
- Your motivation for joining — the reasons you share in your own words
- An invitation code, if you arrived through a personal invitation
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we do not buy or collect personal data about you from other sources.
How your application is handled
When you submit the Founding 50 form, your details are sent to a third-party hosted form provider that processes the submission on our behalf. That provider acts as our data processor and handles the information under its own security and privacy commitments. We use the information solely to review your application, contact you about it, and decide whether to extend an invitation.
Analytics
We care about understanding how the site is used without tracking you personally. Our analytics, when enabled, are cookieless: we set no cookies, use no localStorage, and do no fingerprinting. The data we record contains only event names, the page URL, and the site domain — never personal information about you. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking scripts.
Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If your browser stores anything, it is limited to what is strictly necessary for the page to work.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Review and respond to your Founding 50 application
- Contact you about your application and invitation
- Keep records of who has applied and been invited
Under data-protection law such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our lawful basis for this is your consent and our legitimate interest in evaluating prospective members. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep application information only as long as we need it to consider your application and, if relevant, to manage your participation in the Founding 50. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — including the rights to access it, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable form. If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect and to request deletion, and we do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@klaara.ai. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us, and we limit access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the movement grows and our practices evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
